Coach Patti Jankowski (PJ) - Orion Township, Michigan
I have been teaching baton for over 20 years. I starting teaching in a Parks and Recreation program, but decided that individual instruction was more enjoyable for my interests.
After moving to the 'west side' of town, I began teaching solo instruction at Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills. This is where the group still makes their practice home, although with everyone being 'scattered', it is tough to get the whole gang together at the same time.
Golf is my 1st love and although I am not ready for the LPGA, I do hold my own and enjoy my Friday night league with my buddies.
I have worked at EDS, now Hewlett Packard, since 1985 - you could say that I am definately a career woman. Although I do enjoy teaching baton, it is not a full time job for me. Twirling is a passion and in many ways, a form of stress relief!
My other form of relaxation is vacationing with my wonderful husband Jeff. Between HP commitments and my three nights of teaching twirling during the week, it takes a patient and understanding man to put up with the kind of hours that I keep!
My current teaching schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Also, we practice on Sundays at the Beverly Hills Club on Southfield Road alongside our other twirling friends, Derek's Dynamos.
